Projeto Agarrados à Net

Started in 2003 with the creation of the “ProjetoMiúdosSegurosNa.Net” (Safe Kids on the Net Project), whose mission is to help families, schools, and communities promote the ethical, responsible, and safe use of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) by children and young people. In that same year, he wrote his first articles about the excessive use of screens and cyberbullying.

He’s a co-author of the book “Cyberbullying – A Guide for Parents and Educators” (Portugal, 2016) and a chapter in the book “Bullying: Perspectives, Practice, and Insights,” published by the Council of Europe in 2017. He also served as an external evaluator for the project “Cyber Training – Taking Action Against Cyberbullying,” an initiative funded by the European Commission that produced a training manual for trainers in the field of cyberbullying. He served as a trainer in the Advanced Course on Cyberbullying [E-learning] (1st edition – 2017; 2nd edition – 2018; 3rd edition – 2019; 4th edition – 2020) promoted by the CRIAP Institute (Portugal). I co-organized and co-hosted the Cyberbullying Talks (2019, 2020, and 2021) and am a co-organizer and co-host of the Global Stop Cyberbullying Telesummit (2019 to 2023).

I also served as an expert in the Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) “Bullying & Cyberbullying: Prevent and Act” (1st edition – 2019; 2nd edition – 2020; 3rd edition – 2022) promoted by the Directorate-General of Education (DGE) as part of the SafeNet Awareness Center and the Health Education team. Additionally, I was a consultant for the DGE working group for the “School Without Bullying. School Without Violence” plan (2019).
